Kanaani

The Kanaani is an experimental breed developed in Israel through selective breeding of hybrid foundation stock crossed with African wildcats, which gives it a lean, athletic build and some behavioral traits linked to its relatively recent wild ancestry. Because breed development is still an ongoing process, individual Kanaani cats can vary noticeably in appearance and temperament. They tend to be alert, energetic, and confident, often forming a strong bond with one primary caregiver while remaining cautious around unfamiliar people. Like other wildcat-hybrid breeds, they benefit from plenty of space, climbing opportunities, and mental stimulation. The World Cat Federation (WCF) is currently the only major registry that recognizes the breed.
