Norwegian Forest Cat

Built for cold Scandinavian winters, the Norwegian Forest Cat has a thick double coat, tufted paws, and a bushy tail, giving it a majestic, almost wild appearance. They are large, muscular, and excellent climbers, with strong claws adapted for scaling trees and rocky terrain. Despite their size, “Wegies” are gentle, calm, and affectionate, preferring to be near their people rather than constantly in their lap. They're patient with children and generally sociable with other pets. Their coat sheds heavily during seasonal changes and benefits from regular brushing to prevent matting, though it requires less maintenance the rest of the year thanks to its water-resistant texture.
