- Ground delivery / in-person handoff — the driver brings the kitten by car, usually for shorter distances.
- A flight nanny — someone flies with the kitten in the cabin and hands it to you right at the airport. Many people prefer this option — it's less stressful for the kitten.
- Airline pet transport — the kitten flies through an airline's pet program, following its documentation and handling requirements.

The "extra delivery fee" scam — and how to spot it
A common scam: after you pay the deposit, new charges start appearing — a "special climate-controlled carrier," "mandatory insurance," a "refundable delivery deposit" that never actually gets refunded. The total keeps climbing, and the kitten never arrives. An honest delivery cost is explained upfront and doesn't grow after you've paid. If new, urgent charges suddenly show up after your deposit, that's your cue to stop and double-check the seller.
